Lever Assisted Chin-Up

A lever-based chin-up that provides mechanical assistance. It isolates the lats and biceps while offering a fixed path of motion.

Setup

Position yourself on the machine and select the assistance. Grip the handles with a supinated (underhand) grip. Place knees on the support.

Instructions

1. Pull the handles down or lift your body up until the chin is above the handles.
2. Squeeze the lats and biceps.
3. Return to the starting position slowly.
4. Maintain scapular retraction.
5. Keep a neutral spine.

Common Mistakes

1. Shrugging at the top.
2. Partial reps.
3. Using momentum.
